Ethan is the 2024 and 2025 SCCA Runoffs Champion in the Mazda SMX class. In 2025, he received an invite to the Mazda Motorsports Shootout for the 2026 MX5 Cup season. Ethan was the runner up for the scholarship, and did not take long for him to display his talent, leading race 2 at Daytona a majority of the laps, and finishing 4th. He went on to finish in the top 10 multiple times, and at CTMP he got his first race win. Backing that up at VIR, a 3rd place alongside race 2 winner and teammate Noah Harmon.
